Update System

By updating our Rocky Linux 8 system, it will refresh the local list of available packages software to the newer stable version. To update Rocky Linux 8repositories, we will use the command line:

$ sudo dnf update

Adding Skype Repository

The next step is to enable and add the Skype repository to your Rocky Linux system by running the following command.

$ sudo dnf config-manager --add-repo https://repo.skype.com/rpm/stable/skype-stable.repo

Then we will ensure if the Skype repository has been added by submitting command line :

$ sudo dnf repolist | grep -i Skype

After all are set, then we will install Skype by submitting command line :

$ sudo dnf install skypeforlinux

We will install the latest stable Skype (Skype for Linux version

Launching Skype For Linux
