1. Add Repository
We have to add a repository to our Ubuntu system, where Timeshift package is exist. For this, we submit the command line :
sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:teejee2008/ppa.

2. Update Ubuntu System
After adding Timeshift repository to the system, the next step is update the our Ubuntu system to take effect. We will submit the command line :
sudo apt update.

3. Install Timeshfit on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
the installation process is done by submitting command line :
sudo apt install -y timeshift.

It seems if the Timeshfit (backup/restore apps) installation has been completed done.
4. Running Timeshift Application
There are two ways to run the timeshift application, namely via gui and via the command line.
- Running Timeshift from the Graphical interface
Activities » Search for Timeshift.
Enter password to get an authentication.
Follow the backup wizard to configure Timeshift.
- Running Timeshift from Command line
Submit the command line
timeshfitthen press enter
We will be prompted timeshfit menu as shown below.
